Most shops top out at 10 or 12 feet. Mona Steel forms parts up to 26 feet in a single piece, which means fewer splices, fewer field joints and a cleaner finished product for trim, channels, cladding, equipment frames and structural members.
Pair bending with our laser cutting and you get flat patterns cut and formed in one flow, so hole locations stay true after the bend.
Long-length and heavy-gauge forming
Long single-piece bends reduce welding and splicing on the job site. That matters on building trim, equipment skids, trailer and truck components, conveyor frames and custom structural shapes where appearance and straightness both count.
For heavy plate, we match tonnage and tooling to the part so bend angles stay consistent from the first piece to the last.
Design tips for better bent parts
A few rules of thumb help keep costs down and quality up:
- Keep the inside bend radius at or above the material thickness for most carbon steel grades.
- Make flanges at least four times the material thickness so the part seats properly on the tooling.
- Keep holes and slots at least 2.5 times the thickness plus the bend radius away from a bend line to avoid distortion.
- Call out critical dimensions and tolerances, and tell us which side is the cosmetic face.
Common applications
- Brake-formed channels & angles

- Equipment frames & skids
- Truck & trailer components
- Conveyor parts

Press Brake Bending FAQ
How long a part can you bend?
We can press-brake form parts up to 26 ft long in a single piece. Maximum thickness at full length depends on the material grade and bend geometry, so send us the drawing and we will confirm feasibility.
Can you bend galvanized or pre-painted material?
Yes. We form pre-galvanized and pre-coated sheet and use tooling practices that minimize coating damage at the bend.
Do you offer cut-to-size shearing only?
Yes. We shear sheet and plate to size for customers who handle their own forming, and we can combine shearing with laser cutting for complex blanks.
Where we deliver
We handle sheet metal shearing and press brake bending for shops and job sites across Orange County, Los Angeles County, the Inland Empire, San Diego County and the Central Valley, and ship to projects nationwide, including Texas, Arizona and Nevada.
