Most steel packages pass through three or four vendors before they reach the job: a service center for material, a shop for cutting, another for forming, and a detailer somewhere in between. Mona Steel brings those steps onto one purchase order, so one team owns the drawings, the material, the fabrication and the delivery.
We fabricate for general contractors, steel fabricators and erectors, solar EPCs, OEMs and data center builders across Southern California and the rest of the state, and ship fabricated parts to projects in Texas, Arizona, Nevada and nationwide.
What we fabricate
Typical fabricated parts and packages include:
- Base plates, cap plates, gussets, clips, stiffeners and embed plates
- Brackets, frames and equipment supports for mechanical and electrical work
- Formed channels, angles, trays and enclosures from sheet and plate
- Rolled shells, cones, rings and curved sections
- Roll-formed purlins, girts, piles and custom open sections
- Structural members cut to length, drilled and coped to your shop drawings
From drawing to delivery
One process, run by one team:
- Step 01
Drawings
We work from your shop drawings, or our detailing team prepares them from the contract set.
- Step 02
Material & nesting
We source the steel and nest parts to cut scrap and cost.
- Step 03
Fabrication
Parts are cut, formed, rolled or roll-formed, then finished as specified.
- Step 04
Tagged delivery
Loads ship tagged by piece mark, with mill test reports, on your schedule.
Fabrication with detailing and supply
Because we also detail and supply steel, fabrication problems get caught on paper instead of in the field: bend allowances, hole-to-bend clearances and part marks are worked out in the drawings, and the bill of material is one you can order from. Fabrication, steel detailing and project steel supply can be bought together or on their own.
What we don’t do
We don’t erect steel. We fabricate and deliver to your shop, your erector or the job site, and coordinate with the erector on sequencing, bundling and tagging.
Who we fabricate for
- Data center construction
- Utility-scale & C&I solar
- Warehouses & distribution centers
- Manufacturing & OEM parts
- Commercial & industrial buildings
- Equipment supports & platforms
Steel Fabrication FAQ
Do you fabricate from my drawings?
Yes. Send shop drawings, DXF, DWG or STEP files, or a contract set. If you don’t have shop drawings yet, our detailing team can prepare them before fabrication.
Can you supply the material and fabricate on one order?
Yes. Material, processing, finishing and delivery go on one purchase order, with mill test reports and heat-number traceability on every shipment.
Do you erect steel?
No. We fabricate and deliver. Erection stays with your erector, and we tag and sequence loads to suit their crew.
Do you ship fabricated parts out of state?
Yes. We deliver across California and ship fabricated parts and project steel to job sites in Texas, Arizona, Nevada and nationwide, quoted per load.
What sizes can you handle?
Fiber laser cutting from thin sheet through heavy plate, press brake bends up to 26 ft long and 1 in. thick, plate rolling up to 16 ft in diameter and ¾ in. thick, and roll forming from 20 gauge to ¼ in. Thicker plate is cut on CNC plasma and oxy-fuel.
Where we deliver
We handle steel fabrication for shops and job sites across Orange County, Los Angeles County, the Inland Empire, San Diego County and the Central Valley, and ship to projects nationwide, including Texas, Arizona and Nevada.
